Mesh or knit is one of the most comfortable and breathable materials for shoes; however, it can also become quite a nuisance when it comes to keeping mesh shoes clean. With that said, in this blog, we will guide you on properly cleaning mesh shoes.

Things you need to clean your Mesh Shoes

Before you dive into the mesh-pit, get it? Eh never mind. Now, mesh cleaning, there are some things you definitely need for optimal cleaning.

Bowl: To hold the cleaning solution without any unwanted splashes. We already have a dirty shoe, don’t want a dirty table. SHOEGR Collapsible Bowl is ideal for this job.

Step-by-Step Guide to Clean Mesh Shoes

By now we hope you’ve gathered all the supplies. Now, here’s the easiest yet thorough guide on how to clean mesh shoes.



Create the Solution: In a bowl, add 200-250ml of water and 2-3 small squirts of SHOEGR cleaning solution.

Brush Off Loose Dirt: Using the Soft Brush, brush off any dirt from the upper and simply, tap the shoes together to dislodge dirt from the sole.


Remove Shoe Laces: Before cleaning your mesh shoes, remove the laces, and set them aside for now. If your shoes don’t have laces, congratulations!


Uppers Cleaning: Dip the Soft Brush into the solution and start working on the uppers in a circular motion. Wipe it off using the Microfibre Towel, and repeat the process.


NOTE: When it comes to mesh or knit shoe cleaning, you may have to repeat the process as dirt gets deposited in the mesh. BUT! Don’t scrub too harshly.

Sole Cleaning: This is a straightforward process. Simply, dip the Hard Brush in the solution and clean away the soles.


Spark Up the Laces: For laces, simply soak them in the solution and wipe them off.

Complete Dry: Dry off shoes using the Microfibre Towel and let them air dry.
